Enjoy peace and serenity among the trees at this quiet writer's
retreat located on almost a full acre in the forest, adjacent to Lake
Arrowhead, CA. While you write in the dedicated room looking out
on the forest and detached from the main house, your family can enjoy
the great room, game room and surrounding beauty in the main house.
The main house is called "Whispering Pines" because you can hear the
wind through the trees and listen to chickadees call to each other while
swinging in the hammock on your private deck. At night, sit
snuggly around the warm fire pit to watch the brilliant stars overhead.
Antique shops, restaurants, groceries, the lake are all within
5-10 minutes by car. The main house sleeps 10 with 2 bedrooms and
2 baths. The upstairs bedroom has a King Bed, and the downstairs
bunk room has two bunk beds for a total of 4 beds. There are queen
sofa sleepers both up and downstairs. Downtown Skyforest, with
several restaurants is within walking distance. Prices, including
use of the retreat room, cable TV, and internet: $350/night plus taxes
and $100 cleaning charge. Weekly and Monthly rates available. Contact
