Welcome to House Spouse Chatter
As House Spouses ourselves, we recognize a need to talk
to one another. To share ideas and ask advice from our peers
who've been there, done that. We don't want to know when a
friend's made a trip to the grocery store, but we would like to know
whether you've discovered the best way to pick a sweet pineapple.
Here you can find information about topics of interest to those who
primarily work from home whether it's raising a family, pursuing
retirement interests, or running a home based business. We offer
discussion groups where you can ask for pearl's of wisdom from our House
Spouse Community, links to websites of interest, and insightful articles
on important issues. So, please join our community. We house
spouses have to stick together! Please explore our site and give
us feedback on other topics you'd like to see covered.
You are very special and deserve a happy and fulfilling day!

Today's Blog: Inspirations from
the Sea
I try to regularly walk along the
ocean bluffs near my home. (Yes, I know how blessed I am to have
ocean bluffs so close by.) I usually find inspiration in what I
see along the way. Today was no exception. I saw an unusual
sight. The otherwise calm water appeared disturbed in one place
where a significant bow wave moved across the water with no vessel
around to cause such an anomaly.
I frowned, actually concerned a
bit for the ocean's placidity, wondering what evil forces were
disturbing the otherwise smooth, glistening water. Then I began to
realize the cause of the disturbance: a school of dolphins joyfully
swimming at full speed, in the same direction; jumping and frolicking to
such an extent that they formed the significant wave steadily passing
across my gaze.
I smiled to realize that what can
appear to us as a disturbance in life can, in fact, arise from forces of
good working together toward a common goal. Look beneath the
surface to find the good going on. If life stirs, perhaps such
apparent tumult works to propel us onward in the proper direction -
toward a destiny we don't even know awaits.
Next time you see the ocean, stop
and see what lessons it teaches you.
